SAPA

Sapa is a small town in Lao Cai province, in the mountainous Northwest of Vietnam. This place is the residence of ethnic minorities such as H’mong, Dao, Tay… Sapa with a cool climate all year round is the destination chosen by many tourists in the North of Vietnam.

 

 

WHAT TIME SHOULD I GO?

You can go to Sapa at any time of the year, but the best time is from May to October

  • May to August is a suitable time to relax in Sapa. During this time, the weather is hot. Many visitors come to Sapa to enjoy the cool air
  • September to October is the season when ripe rice on the terraced fields. Coming to Sapa this time, you will take beautiful pictures

 

DESTINATIONS 

Fansipan Peak

The highlight to attract tourists to Sapa is Fansipan peak with an altitude of 3143 meters, known as the roof of Indochina. From the top of Fansipan, visitors will admire the majestic scenery of the beautiful Hoang Lien Son mountain range

Suggestion: In addition to Fansipan by cable car. You have the option of trekking with a local guide (not allowed to go without a local guide)

 

Sapa Heaven Gate

About 18km from the town of Sapa Heaven Gate is a destination not to be missed. At the Heaven Gate, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of O Quy Ho Pass – one of the four famous beautiful passes in Vietnam.

Note: The temperature on the Heaven Gate is about 5 degrees lower than below town, so bring a thin coat to keep your body warm

 

Cat Cat Village

Only 2km from town, Cat Cat village is the residence of the H’mong ethnic group. Visiting Cat Cat village, visitors will enjoy the famous delicious dishes of the Northwest, take a walk and take beautiful pictures

Suggestion: You can rent ethnic costumes at shops around there from 50.000 VND to 100.000 VND

 

In addition to the above tourist attractions, you can visit other interesting destinations such as Ham Rong Mountain, Stone Church, Silver Waterfall …
